I think Eugene Grimes checked-out when he sold his Vee, but he still wheels a pink Miata with us in the American Endurance Racing series!

Seems to me that the fastener is the nut.

Re: Pocono Challenge Cup Series
Hello Dietmar! The Pocono race is here. Other info at the home site; http://challengecupseries.com/index.php/races/all-races/race-4 My impression of the tires are: Lots of feedback (noise) Break away quickly, but somewhat forgiving Cheap (compared to slicks) Sexy (compared to slicks) Slower accelera...

Re: Just don't get it!
....and stick with regionals, Bill, Nationals/Regionals are gone at the end of this season. SCCA Club Racing will consist of Majors and Divisionals. Both provide a path to the Runoffs. Thanks Bill. The runoffs are not important to me any longer. Quality (car count ) track time at a "reasonable...

Re: Just don't get it!
Scott's point is valid'
I always thought FST was a great idea. Never went that route because I preferred to do Nationals.
Would convert now and stick with regionals, but not many FST's in my area. Other cost-effective, non-scca, forms of racing have gotten my attention lately...

Re: Chassis Stands?
I use 4 cheap-assed jack stands and lay a 30" long piece of angle iron across each pair.
Cheap and they are used for other projects as well.

Re: Bolt on valve covers
Statistics (from one stream-me):
I've entered approximately 135 races in my FV. I caused an incident where my valve cover was popped-off once (0.7%). The oil spilled was all off-pavement for that incident.

Re: Rear Roll Resistance Never Needed
... You bring up the issue of lose of traction with the inside rear tire. ASSUMING smooth operating zero roll with NO rear roll resistance why would the inside wheel loose traction? I know the weight is not equal because of weight transfer, but why isn't this weight relationship between sides maint...

Yes, Brian is correct. I think all tech groups have a set of 6" calipers. To nit-pick; there's no need for the no-go portion of the go / no-go gauge.problemchild wrote:Is there a standard width for a "go-no-go" guage. That should be part of the spec. Thx.
