That's a terrible tragedy. Thanks for the heads up and a reminder that when cars are in motion things can and do go wrong.

Re: Blue Coil
Thanks Dietmar. I searched and the picture I found indicates it is still made in Germany. One place says 3.0 ohms primary resistance and another 3.5.

Re: Blue Coil
Well heck, I thought I might have exited without posting a few days back :) Good to know Dietmar. What is the non-bosch, non chinese alternative for those in need? The GCR basically makes it free. Well, no. Probably the same thing that just happened as I got a notice my IP address was "blacklis...

Good luck to all of you at VIR!
Looks like I'll have to watch on my phone again this year while riding in the car. Maybe this time I'll let my wife drive

Hello Dietmar,
It's been a while. Hope to hear you are all mended and ready for another 75 years or so. Or is it 200 when the knee's are bionic

Good deal on the knee. Glad to hear it's going well.
Echo Steve on FedEx. One problem after another, both business and personal. The others are no better. But I'd put USPS in last place...

Re: Blood on the car...
Sad situation when the most participated class historically and still near the top is shuffled into oblivion. I know there are regional participation issues in some area's, not helped by mixing FV with cars like FC. I like the FC and the FE cars, but they should not be on the track with FV's. FF and...

Re: Blood on the car...
I did not know that FC had been added to the mix. I cannot imagine what the thinking is on that given the disparity in speed and braking. I ran several regional's that had them in a one group all things open wheel and it was not ideal, and that with only a handful of the very fast cars. You really a...

Blood on the car...
I've read in the past that something isn't truly yours until you've bled on it :) It's not the first time my car has drawn blood, but it's the first time in a long while. While jigging up some of the back to remake lost measurements I decided to remove the 4 into 2 and 2 into 1 exhaust header parts....

Re: Steering wheel / front tire angle
Heh, no promises but I am going to give it a try. Haven't retired, but finally have the beach house in pretty good shape. That's been a lot of work, especially for a house that was considered in good shape to begin with. I made a big change to the Citation that remains untried and unproven. I can ma...

Steering wheel / front tire angle
I am back to working on my car and hope to get it on the track in 2022. Several of my modifications I have lost some of my notes about. Prior to modifying my steering system I had measured the change in angle with the steering wheel at one revolution in order to calculate and keep the new system in ...

Re: 2021 SCCA Super Tour & Majors Results - Homestead Jan 2021
Thanks for the information, Steve. I was happy to see no one run over you this year, even if they tried very hard to do so. Great finish for you!
Tough thing to have any sort of bad incident, even more so when you come all the way from the west coast, or have a tow truck driver do you in.
