Re: Summit Point National
I lost a clutch slave cylinder at the Double National at VIR two weeks previous so replaced it with a new Wilwood unit. During the race Sunday the two halves unscrewed completely so I lost all ability to shift (only real race car drivers can shift without a clutch!). Never considered checking the ti...

Link pin questions
When installing the link pins how does one decide how many shims to place on each side of the kingpin? Do the number of shims still need to total 10 on both top and bottom? What is the difference in placing shims inside or outside of the kingpin? Trial and error can take quite a bit of time and I am...

Re: Ed Schubert
I also purchased parts from Ed which were shipped by two different carriers; one arrived quickly the other one about a week later. Ed followed up on the tardy package and was very kind and helpful. Thanks for the great parts, very reasonable prices and follow up!

Ship the tires only (he can buys wheels close to home) to a business address and shipping will be pretty inexpensive via UPS.

Re: Any Heavy Equipment Operators out there?
Alot of the larger, over the road trucking companies are self-insured and will hire drivers at a younger age than those buying insurance. Another way to begin is to earn a CDL and work an off road driving job and accumulate a couple years of experience to have in conjunction with turning the require...

Re: Why is the Sky Blue?
We had spec tires at Nelson's Ledges a few years ago when Hoosier discounted the first R45 tires. It was a pretty simple deal-a few guys called/emailed the regular runners; we took orders and placed them with Hoosier. Then sent a truck to pick up all the tires and paid for them. And then delivered a...

Re: Trailer Question?
Line each wall with E track; one upper and one lower row. Purchase E track 2 x 4 holders and put the lower row holders closer together than the upper row making a tire rack that goes from one side of the trailer to another. In a 7' width one single row can hold 2+ sets of mounted wheels and tires fo...
