Re: Just don't get it!
One more point. Last year the Michelin guy at Road Atlanta would not even acknowledge me.
He said they were $15,000 each!!!! Then walked away!
Both Bridgestone reps at Lime Rock at least were polite and listened.

Re: Just don't get it!
The front tires on the Delta Wing are 4.0 x 23.0 x 15.
They are Bridgestone and will fit on our rims.
I jokingly asked at Lime Rock to try a used set.
Of course they said "no".

I drove 1000 miles from Connecticut. I was slowest, but had a great time. It was well organized and well run. Thanks to Nick and Dietmar I ran all sessions. Met a lot of great people, and the dinner was fabulous. Thank you to all that put in the hard work and thank you to Duke and Faye for the wine....

The New England Region and the Northeast Division will present our annual VeeFest. Come join us for some old fashioned Formula Vee racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on May 26 and 27. We will have a luncheon with some prizes during lunch break on Saturday and plenty of bench racing on Saturday e...

Re: Clutch/ throw out bearing
Thank you everyone. Somethings are just too simple. After taking the trans and engine in and out several times, and changing the pressure plate back and forth many times, you are all correct. The crow bar worked. So I installed the lump back in the chassis and lengthened the cable a little and wa la...

Clutch/ throw out bearing
I use a cable operated clutch. I replaced the spring, clutch, throw out bearing, and pressure plate. With the transmission on the floor the clutch arm with the new spring swings smoothly through its arc. However, when mounted back on the engine it only moves a small amount and then feels solid. I re...

The Lime Rock web site lists a national on May14-15 by Mo-Hud Region with possible support from NNJR. Perhaps it's only tentative?

Re: WDCR adopts race lap penalties for 2010
Perhaps the production cars and the sedans should get multiple checker flags based on the number of cars in their class. 2 HP cars get the checker after 2 laps; 4 EP cars get a checker after 4 laps. How about if we put all the entries in one big 124 lap race??? Because of our open wheels and speed i...

Re: Formula Vee Meeting during the Runoffs
I agree with Doug's response and was going to write the crb to express this. I have said this before, but not all Vee drivers can spend there time keeping track of the rules. If you bowl, play golf, play softball, etc. you don't have to check on any new changes to the rules every month. I am not tha...

Re: April Fastrack--Oil Sumps
I have been driving my Formula Vee for over 30 years. I am not a front runner. It may be a matter of money, talent, or newer equipment, or a combination of all, but I enjoy the class. I don't feel my engines are ever really down on power and I go 3-4 years on a re-build. I have never "spun"...

Re: Head and neck systems ... request for input
I did write the CRB. I used the risk versus cost issue and availability if all drivers needed one. However, I have written to the CRB many times and it doesn't seem to matter. On another topic; what was the tabled issue of piston/piston ring about? I don't recall any mention of this before! FV 20

Re: Low turnouts
I have had the same old FV since 1973!!! I used to be somewhat competitive, but for some reason every one else is going faster and perhaps I'm getting older and slower. But, even being back in the pack I enjoy the atmosphere at the track. There once was an add somewhere that said your friend likes b...

Re: Latest Fastrac
I am another that wrote to both the SCCA Board of Directors and the the CRB that I did not want the change. I also think getting 31 Formula Vee competitors to even write letter was quite a large number. But 19 to 12 and they change the rule. Were they in Florida? Were there any hanging chads? Look w...
