Won't Donny Skaggs at Fire Bottle re-fill it for you? I know they don't make those systems anymore but they should be able to fill it if you walk in. I think they're in FL somewhere.

Mahle 40HP P&C set
NOS p&C set from NAPA (who knows when...) Light rust in the cylinders but I'v already honed them out to clean it up (about .0015") so they're very "like-new". Real German quality! Missing clips but has the important stuff: good pistons and (cookie-cutter) cylinders! $300 plus frei...

Re: Freeing a seized engine
I had an engine that sat about the same amount of time as yours. I was going to trade it off in a deal I made and decided to split the case just to be sure everything was okay. What I found inside surprised me: ALL of the main and rod bearings had huge pits in them from the acidic reactions from the...

Re: Freeing a seized engine
Sounds like it's time for a rebuild to me...
The PR tubes are easy to figure out. But with all of the gunk in your engine from sitting it's going to be more work than just cleaning the gunk out.
Good luck,
Lawrence

Re: Last words in passing
Kevin, Just wondering if you ever had anyone else critque (drive) your car for you, i.e.: give you set-up advice and engine tuning advice? It's a lot easier for someone else to tell you what's wrong/right with your car sometimes. Re. the above post, Vintage vee: We've been involved with these cars i...

Re: Softer engine bearings
Like Mike was saying the center main webs can actually change shape from an over heating condition. An easy way to tell if this has happened is to look at the vertical web surfaces when the case is in half. If they look shiney or polished then it's time to scrap the case....as far as I know anyway. ...
