Re: Laguna Seca practice for FV's only this December
Kim, This is a fantastic idea, but I have just one suggestion.... well.. maybe more... Can you move the track a little closer to the EAST side of the country (like EAST of the MISSISSIPPI) ?? And make fuel a LOT less expensive?? And provide 'concierge service' along the route from Atlanta to Califo...

As Ian said on the Left Coast board:
"OK, I've read it twice and I think I get it. We've had a two tiered system for decades but at the end of 2013 the scca will to totally revamp the system and move to a two-tiered system. Have I got it right?"

Re: Goodyear tires
F500 racers have been in the same boat with just Hoosiers for several years now. Shoot does this mean we will lose all awareness of other cars on the track, take two laps to get up to speed, only have that speed on straights and throw an anchor out in turns and basically get in the way of any good ...

Re: Rough ride for Skip Streets this past weekend
Ouch.. Is he OK? Pretty close racing there, did he touch wheels on the front straight when he pulled out from the draft? He's fine it sounds. Looks to me like Coley Tipton missed a shift and they did touch coming on to the main straight. Also, you can see from my dad's cam that it looks like Skip g...

Most of you remember Skip from the West Coast. Rough ride in Vintage FF this weekend. Watch the whole thing for a view from two different cams. Second one is from my dad who races FV as well as Vintage FF: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mb8luPvftc

HANS device in new condition
Posting for Jess Heitman. Formula car HANS. Looks to be in new condition, apparently with current stickers. $450. Sounds like a good deal to me. Call him directly 503-282-0159.

Re: Class getting younger?
Just thought I would post this for kicks. At the Portland 4th of July Double National, the podium on Saturday (Race 1) had an average age of 33. Probably the youngest seen in this area in 20 years! (The old timers didn't think that was nearly as funny as I did) $hit! I was the oldest one of the gro...

Re: well attended races in California..
Go to the site Leroy pointed you to. Also, keep in mind that if you run a regional instead of a national, you will deal with a large field of club fords. They will cause you serious headaches and, when they inevitably go off the track at Laguna, you will spend the rest of the race behind a pace car....

Re: Minimum Weight Survey
At 6'3" 220, I would love 1050. I am 36 years old now and was 205 and in great shape when I started racing FV 18 years ago. In the last 18 years I don't hink I have EVER come off less than 1050. 6 weeks ago I was 230lbs, but have dropped 10. I will still hit the scales at 250-255 in a protofrm ...

Also, works fine on my Mac. It would, however, be nice to be able to slow down, skip ahead, pause, etc. Cant do that with the way it is set up now.
