Re: Northeast Formula Vee
Sheesh. Take one cruise vacation and miss out on all the action! See you guys at Thompson if not sooner! TTFN Fos FYI the cruise was a wedding of our very own Arnie Carbaugh, who will always be O BIG ONE to me, and I will always be his WOOKIE. My 2 daughters were in his beautiful wedding to his amaz...

Less is more Re: Rationals scheduled in the West
Healthy discussion I've stumbled upon. Something I'll try to raise again is 'less' race weekends. I seem to recall a thread about 3 regionals in the same division(NEDiv) in the same weekend. Talk about your profit killer. I think the regions and divisions are too worried about giving up weekends and...

1 national & 2 regionals in NE Re:Glen Results For Sunday's
I can't believe there was a NJMP regional last weekend too! That's just crazy... two regionals and one national all in the NE... I did see in Sports Car a general discussion from the president that this is indeed poor planning, they recognize it and will work to avoid such silliness next year... The...

Re: Anyone know what brand this is?
WEIRD!!! Looks kinda like a Lazer nose, but only the front and right... looks like a Citation nose on the left... Have no clue as to the bubble at the top. Do you know why it's different left to right? Does it have something to do with a Burmese Python? Maybe African Python? Discover channel says yo...

Re: My letter about the FV spec intake
I wasn't going to post until Chris brought up the carb thing in the 90s. I was caught in the middle of that whole carb thing. I think I was the only one protested for it. I'm greatly relieved it was decided it was illegal. I think it is prudent to close any glaring loopholes to prevent the carb thin...

Re: Runoff start photos
Great photos! Very entertaining with all the different angles! Must have been 3 different photographers? The last set looks like coming out of turn one... how come you're the only one on the rumble strips in the pics? Is that one of the speed secrets? ;) Also looks like vees must have a track that c...

Re: Runoffs Qualification Changes (SportsCar Feb '10)
I actually thought of a different problem. With less of a runoffs requirement, the divisional championships will mean less as well, if anything. It just means everyone can now run just 4 nationals and they are all set. I think this would hurt class participation, not help. Or, maybe, we just have 4 ...

Runoffs Qualification Changes (SportsCar Feb '10)
Anybody read page 14? Does that mean we don't need any points at all to qualify? Just 'finish' for Nationals? Does that also mean the entry list is first come first served or will we have to have a qualifying races instead of qualifying sessions? Lowering the bar to gain entries is one thing (didn't...

Re: Runoffs Trap Speeds
Guys--
I'm extremely happy to hear that the speedtrap info shows a large delta!
Cudos of course to the winner!
Seems like grip still matters over overall speed!
Does this help with the intake discussions?

Two Tangents, maybe moreRe: Regional Championships
It's very common for me to take a tangent. It seems to me part of the problem is weighted license renewals. The weights feel like they add up. I was about to expound on that thought when I received another tangent to follow. No one will get my point either! Anyway... once apon a time there were ProV...

Re: NARRC Runoff Photos 10/3/09
Hi Guys! Veefan-- thank you a ton for posting these photos! I haven't met you yet. I lookforward to it. Who is that masked Veefan? As to the tires, it was really funny. I thought it would be wet, but probably not very wet. Having said that the oldstyle hoosier rains ('00?) would probably work better...

Re: engine horsepower
Well, two important questions. 1) Can Santa bring 'more' HP? 2) Does HP really refer to 'Higher Power'? I used to equate engine builders with religion. If Bill can remember, I can't tell anything about HP, more or less. He beat me with my own engine a long time ago. Bill, I really dig your avitar......
