Re: Beach 5c frame

Is the windshield original or an add-on? I need to pick up one of those if you have a source.

Thanks

Re: Ceramic coating pistons

It's just that I've seen *amazing* results when the process has been applied to vintage racing motorcycles. We're really only two extra tires away from their technology.

See what I mean here:

I'll have to ponder. LOL

Ceramic coating pistons

Hi all. Now that I will soon be the proud owner of a Beach 5c, I need to start thinking about getting it up and running for the spring. I plan to run strictly vintage class, so would it be "legal" (acceptable?) to have the pistons ceramic coated in the interest of engine longevity? I doubt...

How much engine is too much?

Since I plan to run in vintage, I'm wondering how far I should go with the engine rebuild. I don't think I need a national level engine, but I also don't want to run a bone stock one either. What is the general consensus when it comes to engine work? I'll be running primarily in the northeast. Thank...

Re: '72 Lynx Solo Vee off season rebuild

Hi Charles. How long did it take you to sand the entire frame? What paint did you end up using on it?

Was it too expensive to have the frame media blasted?

Thanks, nice work so far!

Re: It Lives and Breathes....

Please don't change a thing! It is refreshing to see some actual race patina on a car these days. Everyone seems to think they should have $5,000 perfectly color sanded paint jobs on their vintage race cars theses days. All the cool kids know that the vintage dirt makes you go faster because it has ...

Re: '72 Lynx Solo Vee off season rebuild

Have you removed any frame tubes? It looks like as it stands there is little torsional strength to it.

I guess it's safe enough for solo, but I sure wouldn't run it on a track with other cars. There is little driver protection in case of an accident.

Every time I see this video, I wonder how an A30 got to be the size of a Hummer... :P
