Re: Barber Motorsports Park Labor Day w/e 2009
Saturday - rained stopped before our race and it was then a decision of wets vs slicks. I was on slicks like the rest but I was all over the track and woefully slow. Stevan Davis waived points but was really driving the wheels off like usual. Sherman Engler was credited with first and Anthony Hender...

Some day if I have money and a little better motor I plan to go. Should be pulling the motor for a rebuild after the first of October hope to squeeze out more than 52 with a few upgrades.

Re: Drum or Axle? Getting beat dahn
Well, thanks to Mike Chandler things may be looking up with the German drums. I took a some quick measurements and found the Italian drums I have to be about .10 wider than the German ones, but the fit on the splines seem to be better. I am not using the soft thin washer supplied in the kits, so all...

Drum or Axle? Getting beat dahn
Out of all fo the years of owning Vee's I have never had as much trouble as I am having now. Thanks for the help - went with an $8 11" long straight pliers that got a little grinding on the end and have gotten the old worn out axles out and getting the new ones back in tonight to get ready for Barber.

Apparently I don't have the correct pliers for the huge snap ring that holds the axle in my Vee. Any recommendations?

Group 1
CF, FF, FST, FC, F5, FV, and SRF is now looking at a split start with SRF AND if you look at the schedule for Sunday looks like you can get back home by supper time even with a 4 - 5 hour tow.
We now have 4 FV's with Anthony coming on board.

Re: Nashville Super Speedway June 26-28, 2009
Here are some pluses of Nashville We have garages and that makes summertime racing much more pleasant, and contribute to a more social paddock experience. What other race track polishes the garage floor before we arrive? And the Air Conditioned Media Center is at our disposal. We have a great RV par...

Re: Nashville Super Speedway June 26-28, 2009
I know the situation is being looked into. It may come down to what group has the lower attendance and how many SRF's show up. I have had experience with an SRF in my rr school at Roebling and luckily all I had was paint taken off my left front cap and he had a new stripe down the side of his car, b...

Yo Bill,
So how many SRF's were you running with CFR? NSS had three SRF's total last year and I think there are compliants from other class groupings on the same problem.

Re: Last words in passing
Well I know I had a good time last year running Nashville SS and Barber in FV. Both venues had us with FF and FST, with Nashville having a FC - total of 5 FV's at NSS and 8 at Barber. We have just added a Caracal D to this area - so for a small area we don'ts do too bad in the Southeast. We are look...
