Re: spindles
I can take a pick but I can never get one on this site. the gap is between the top of the spindle between the spindle and the dogbone causing the spindle to rise up on the king pin. there is a steel spacer there now but the space between the carrier/dogbone and the top of the spindle is the issue. s...

I thought is would be a great spare motor but it was covered in grease so I sent it to my local engine shop (not a vw guy) to get cleaned in his hot tank and jet washer. he aparently left the case i...

I always start in the very back you will be on the track with some very fast open wheel cars and some spec fords. you want to let them go by early, they can pass you anywhere and their closing speed is ridiculous you will see me there in the afternoon, wa...

the earliest log book i have says it was raced at pueblo so I dont think that it started in illinois but it may have raced there sometime in its life. it looks like it started out in the southwest and made its way east sometime around the time i was 10 or 11 years old

Re: front beam
it does not matter where the spring pack goes but you will need to use the center grub screw to hold the spring in place, most people put the spring in the bottom tube because the steering box will not go on with the grub screw in place
