Re: November meeting

Brian; What is deemed compliant or non-compliant by tech at the Runoffs only carries weight at the Runoffs. It carries no weight at any other event. I think that is why tech wanted to clarify certain aspects of the rules. I would expect the CRB and BOD would put the final version out for input. SteveO

Re: tire grooving

Thor,

If you return to Summit Point next spring, we can groove up a set for you at the track.

Re: Tranny fluid options

I have used on and off over the years a tractor transmisson/hydraulic fluid that was develped many years ago by (I think) International Harvestor. As it was designed to be used in farm equipment in the harsher northern climates this oil poures out with the viscosity that approximates a 10 wt. oil. I...

Re: Low turnouts

This is why I responded to this post. I am one of those interested but have left. Now you have a fairly negative post saying that the grass isn't greener. This isn't what I said in the first place. I tried to show that there is plenty of competition for my motorsports dollars and that I found what ...

Re: Summit Point National

I think Kearney led going into turn 10 with Roger S 2nd and Jeremy 3rd. Roger told me he got inside Kearney going into 10 and they were side by side coming out. Surely that slowed them both down enough for Jeremy to get a run on them to start - finish.

Re: Fuel testing rules

Steve's explaination of the process is correct. I understand this is step 1 of a plan for the Club to become more enviornmentally friendly. The issue for me is that exotic fuels are much harder to detect in unleaded fuels than in leaded fuels. This has been a problem in SM and SRF for years. I don't...

Re: Fuel testing rules

Contrary to what I posted previously, I was informed last night that the CRB will recommend that fuel rules as outlined in the last Fastrack be adopted. In other words except for showroom stock (which must use EPA compliant fuel) all other classes will get to chose which fuel they may run as long as...

Re: Revamped National Racing Program and Runoff???

I think to point here is that Topeka recognizes that SCCA's national racing program is not as healthy as it could/should be. We all from time to time have had issues with the way the national program runs, especially with the Runoffs. It appears we now have people on the BOD who are listening, and w...

Revamped National Racing Program and Runoff???

The National Office has assigned a task force to look into revamping the national racing program and the Runoffs. This was mentioned on page 5 of the last Fastrack. “MOTION: 1. To form a task force composed of two members of the CRB, two members of the Staff, and three Board members, to gather inf...

Re: Fuel testing rules

I have been told that the Fastrack entry regarding fuel is incorrect.  Expect a corrected version next month.
