Don't Drive Like My Brother
After watching this, my long faded dream of driving F1 is packed away - these guys are nuts.
Watch Barrichello braking move after he gets a bad start:

F1 Copyright infringement. Gone

God I hate Bernie E, etc. Thank God for certain underground racing torrent sites that are invitation only. All the BTCC, etc you could handle. Not that I use them...SR Racing wrote:F1 Copyright infringement. Gone
Re: Don't Drive Like My Brother
Y'know, it seems there is just no limit to the ways F1 (Bernie and Max) can find to alienate, aggravate, get further from touch with, disappoint, astonish, bewilder, (OK, I'll quit but could go on for a long time) their fan base.
I guess the concept of "fair use" for the purposes of analysis, critique and discussion has yet to permeate the thick skulls of the keepers of the "Queen of Motorsports" as they hold the series hostage.
To bloody hell with them, I say.

Sorry, it was up when I posted, so I figured that they had missed it.
It may pop up again, people have a tendency to repost a few times......
Look for in-car, spa 2009, Barrichello start.

Just like drag racing, much of the start is probably in the control of the engineers rather than the driver. It is amazing that no one hit him, considering the acceleration rate. See if you can find the in car from Räikkönen.
What I found amazing was his move to where people were not. His choice of the inside on the staight to Eau Rouge, and on the outside at Les Combs. See how many people he passed (with some help) in less than 3 turns!

True, that was one aggressive start he had to make those positions back up. But at the same time he did have an off-course excursion in the process.
Re: Don't Drive Like My Brother
stop action just before he goes off, look ahead
Re: Don't Drive Like My Brother
ah... still was possible to damage the underside of the car... risk worth taking?
