Goodyear?

Post by fvkartguy »

So has Goodyear official released a new FV tire?
I've heard they have, but haven't seen anything. Is there a part/serial number? I don't see anything on their website.

Dear FVCartGuy (whoever you are),
YES - GY has a new tire - actually they had a new one at last year's Runoffs and now have another (better) one. IIRC, the new numbers are 2714 and 2715, but I could be wrong. There (at this point) is only a TALL (standard size) rear tire - no short rear tires as yet. They should be available at the Runoffs starting next week, but I'm not sure just how MANY will be available. I've heard that there is a newer tire "coming", but not for the Runoffs - no testing time on the tire, and presumably no "number of tires" to work with.

Several of us have used the new (available) tire and it would appear to be at least equal to the latest Hoosier 24B's.

I know Mike Beaumia was running new GYs at the Cat Nationals in late July—yellow lettered sidewalls...

"latest Hoosier 24B's" is that a misstatement or does Hoosier have something new?
