There are still good fields in the Northeast with competition for Runoff qualifying spots. The fields are down a bit. Kearney and Carmody are on sabbaticals and a few more passed on this event as they are saving resources for races where points are not so hard to come by. IMO, having a May to early August condensed season with points-pressure throughout, many of the NE guys are burned out by Runoff time. I know that I always was!
