I wonder how the SCCA would feel about this... sure looks like fun!

Cars look cool too except for the weird carb/scoop

Mark Jaremko did that after his first championship in DSR. I don't think I would have the HP to do that on racing slicks. Maybe in the rain.

Maybe in 1st gear? I don't think I've ever even engaged 1st gear in my car hehe. I'll have to try that sometime, maybe in the gravel or something. I guess a rev limiter would help too, eh?
Re: Peter Hills Formula Vee Champion 2011 Donut
I know it can be done on cold slicks. I don't know about hot tires.
After qualifying 2nd, I missed the grid, but got there in time to start the race from pit lane. When they let me go, I took off at full throttle in first. Imagine my surprise when the rears lit up and I had to get off it to keep from spinning
It was probably the best race I ever drove. At the line, I was a car length behind the battle for 3rd with the five fastest laps in the race.
Ah, good memories. Thanks for reminding me!
PS: The problem was later determined to be a sticky needle and seat that would not allow the car to start when "warm", which it was because I'd done the warm-up 45 minutes earlier.

Oh the possibilities with this.....Bruce knows what I mean.
Re: Peter Hills Formula Vee Champion 2011 Donut
Of course my behavior that day was clearly out of the ordinary in many ways. I made warm-up, I was race ready in time to spend 20 minutes fixing the problem and still start the race (all be it from pit lane), and most remarkably, I actually passed a red #65 that day, at Blackhawk no less. SO hard to believe in SO many ways!
Of course that was then and then was quite a while ago...
Like I said, such good memories.

That's because the South African FV's use an inline 4 cylinder 1400 cc VW water cooled engines
Here are the specs:

They updated their formula/spec 21 years ago.
